As one of the largest parks in the province, Golden Ears Provincial Park is prized for its recreational opportunities. The extensive system of trails within the park provides an excellent opportunity for hiking and horseback riding. Alouette Lake is a popular spot for swimming, windsurfing, water-skiing, canoeing, boating and fishing. The park also has three large campgrounds. Vegetation is typical of the coastal western Hemlock forest of B.C. and the mountainous backcountry is extremely rugged.
Alice Lake is surrounded by towering mountains, dense forests and grassy areas. There are four fresh water lakes that dominate the landscape and make swimming and fishing very enjoyable pastimes. The trail around Alice Lake is a popular one for an evening stroll and for the more adventurous there is the Four Lakes Trail. There are excellent views of the Squamish River and the Tantalus Range from the DeBeck’s Hill Trail. This is a favourite family park. Amenities & Facilities

Sun Valley Trout Park Inc. is a campground and a commercial trout farm on 15 hectares of natural wooded beauty. Hosts, Judy and Bernie Lehmann, invite you to come and stay in campsites, nestled in wooded areas and trout ponds. Just sit back, relax and watch the trout and the birds. We offer both serviced sites for Recreational Vehicles as well as non-serviced sites for tenters. Since our campground is only 1 hr 15 min from Vancouver and Vancouver International Airport, it is a great place to stay for visitors to B.C. on their first day of arrival and their last day before returning home. For bicyclists, it is an easy ride from Vancouver. We also speak German. Sun Valley Trout Park Inc. also has fee-fishing for pan-sized trout and catch and release flyfishing in what city folk call a small lake and country folk call a large pond. It is a great place to take kids of all ages to catch fish. Our Trout Park is an excellent place to host group functions, fishing derbys, birthday parties, company picnics, small weddings and or receptions, etc. We offer a quiet family campground with amenities that include, a real old-fashioned swimming […]
